Empress Reign was founded in 2020 by me, India Jackson, but the journey began years earlier during a stressful period after I was laid off in 2017. I experienced hair loss due to stress and spent countless dollars trying products that didn’t deliver results. Frustrated, I realized there was a gap in the market for products that truly catered to diverse hair types, especially those like mine.

The inspiration for Empress Reign comes from my grandmother, a talented beautician in Camden, NJ, who didn’t just use beauty products—she created her own line. Her passion for crafting haircare that connected deeply with her clients laid the foundation for my own brand. She taught me that beauty products should be purposeful and made with care, never compromised.
